Yes. We do not CAP EARNED INCOME AS A WRITER. If you have a great script, submit it for a chance to get produced.
If you do not advance during the competition, your script is deleted permanently from our data base. IF YOU DO ADVANCE, but don’t win the category finalists or grand prize, your script will be deleted permanently.
We understand how special a script can be, and we will protect it in the highest security and protection.
Submitted screenplay must be intended for production as a live-action (not animated) motion picture capable of securing an MPAA rating of “R,” “PG-13,” “PG,” or “G.”
Ratings have a great impact for Distributors and their buyers, as it either broadens or shrinks the audience. Therefore, we want to be sure that every script we receive has a chance of high visibility, great exposure to achieve the ultimate success.
Yes. This competition is open to the entire world. Anyone with internet access can submit. Except where prohibited.
Your submission will be disqualified and your fee will be fully refunded.
The competition provides a complimentary Executive pass to The American Film Market. Winner is responsible for airfare/lodging. If the winner cannot attend the American Film Market due to flight/visa restrictions, then the winner forfeits the complimentary pass.
We award the primary writer the full award/prize and the primary writer will have to distribute it to his or her team.

Sponsor requests background checks for anyone who makes it to the TOP 50 finalists. Sponsor reserves the right to do so to confirm the winner is cleared from anything that can affect the sponsor in any way. Also to confirm no felonies or current warrants against the winner.
If your script is optioned or purchased, your script will be disqualified from further advancement. Category winning scripts must be unencumbered and available to be optioned by sponsor.
No. When you submit your script you will receive a confirmation letter. Use that confirmation letter as your receipt for the submission.

Yes we do, such as coming of age, romantic comedy, Fantasy, Noir, etc. These sub genres will be awarded under the five main genres listed above. Meaning, we will have only 5 category winners.
While that is not required, but we do encourage you to do so to protect your intellectual property.
No. But, we do recommend keeping your screenplay between 85 pages to 130 pages max.
No. When you win the grand prize, the sponsor purchases your script for $10,000.00 and produce your script for $250,000.00 (Quarter Million Dollar Production). Therefore, our sponsor retains the right when they purchase your grand prize winning script. If the writer who wins the grand prize and refuses to sell the script and does not transfer rights to sponsor, he or she forfeits her grand prize and second in line script with the highest score will be awarded the grand prize, choosing will be at sponsors discretion.
This is the only competition where we don’t set you up with meeting after meeting and going no where. We don’t sell you dreams. We don’t sell you hope. WE ONLY WANT TO PRODUCE YOU!
Yes, definitely. you must inform us immediately only when you win and must option your script, since we don’t allow any script that is optioned to advance that have been optioned in another competition. If you simply win an award or prize money, that is totally fine.
We will pay your winnings straight into your bank account using Pay Pal or Bank Transfer. It doesn’t matter where in the world you live, you will get exactly what the exchange rate is. (We useXE.com to calculate this)

Yes. If you end up winning the category prize, then our sponsor will option your Feature Length Screenplay for development. Rights will potentially transfer to the sponsor when sponsor exercises the option to purchase you and sponsor agree to.
Yes, we accept and welcome adapted screenplays. However, screenwriters who wish to submit an adapted screenplay must possess all rights to the source material or use source material in the public domain.
No, screenwriters must own all rights to the source material. When the source material is optioned, the screenwriter has not actually purchased the rights to use the work; he or she has simply purchased the exclusive access to purchase the rights at some point in the future.
No, all screenplays must be original works and the sole property of the applicant(s). Scripts containing fictional characters, settings, or other aspects gleaned from another author’s work are ineligible for our competition.
Competition / Sponsor reserve the right to ask for verification that you own all the rights to the source material of an adapted work. Failure to provide verification when requested will result in the screenplay becoming ineligible for our competition.
Yes, screenplays based on true stories and historical events are eligible for our competition as long as you have full rights to the material or it is in the public domain.
Yes, writers may submit as many screenplays to our competition as they would like, each submission requiring a submission fee.

No. We will only accept one version of the script as a regular submission, even if you attempt to make two separate payments.

No. Your second submission containing the revised script will be disqualified and no refunds will be applied. Your original script submitted will be the only script read and judged and able to advance within the competition.
